The bodies of two Colombian musicians, Byron Sánchez, professionally known as B-King, and his music partner Jorge Herrera, known as Regio Clown, were tragically discovered on Monday, September 22, in the State of Mexico, near Mexico City. This grim finding came a week after the artists were reported missing while on tour in Mexico.

Sánchez and Herrera had disappeared on September 16, with their last known sighting being in Mexico City's upscale Polanco neighborhood. The Mexico City Prosecutor's Office swiftly initiated an investigation, gathering testimonies and reviewing video footage. This evidence led authorities to determine that the musicians were last located within the State of Mexico, prompting crucial collaboration with the State of Mexico Attorney General's Office.

Through this inter-agency coordination, forensic services personnel from the Mexico State Attorney General’s Office compared profiles of the missing individuals with two deceased persons found on September 17 in the municipality of Cocotitlán. The comparison confirmed matches, leading the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office to launch a homicide investigation into the deaths. Sánchez’s family later identified his body during a procedure at a regional prosecutor’s office.
