The (TAT) recently welcomed over two thousand five hundred delegates from Infinitus (China) in a landmark Group Incentive Travel initiative designed specifically for the lucrative Chinese market. This high-profile visit further cements Thailand’s reputation as a leading destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) within the Asia-Pacific region.

From the twelfth to the nineteenth of May, Infinitus delegates arrived in three distinct groups, each exploring different regions of Thailand before converging in Bangkok for a grand seminar and gala event. The three separate travel itineraries included Phuket to Bangkok, Chiang Mai to Bangkok, and Pattaya to Rayong before culminating in the capital city. These thoughtfully planned routes provided participants with rich opportunities to experience the diverse cultural and natural attractions across Thailand’s varied landscapes.

The climax of the visit took place on the seventeenth of May at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, where a large-scale seminar was followed by an elegant gala event. Mr. Kittipong Prapattong, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Digitalisation, Research and Development, officiated the gala, highlighting Thailand’s unmatched ability to host high-value Chinese corporate visitors with professionalism and genuine Thai hospitality.

Adding a distinct cultural flair to the event, the gala featured traditional Thai performances sponsored by TAT, showcasing the nation’s rich heritage and unique artistic traditions. These performances not only entertained guests but also offered an immersive glimpse into Thailand’s identity, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. In addition, TAT prepared a special welcome video expressing gratitude to Infinitus for choosing Thailand as their preferred incentive destination for over ten consecutive years. This gesture underscored the strength and longevity of the partnership between Thailand’s tourism sector and the Chinese corporate giant.

To enhance the experience, a VIP welcome ceremony was organised at Suvarnabhumi Airport on the thirteenth of May. Infinitus executives and team leaders arriving from Guangzhou on China Southern Airlines were greeted by Mr. Chuwit Sirivejkul, TAT’s Regional Director for East Asia, alongside TAT representatives and officials from Guangzhou Huiyue International Travel Service. This warm reception exemplified Thailand’s dedication to providing a seamless and memorable arrival experience for important business travelers.

This visit represents a critical component of TAT’s broader strategy to attract high-quality tourism from China, focusing on large-scale incentive travel groups. Thailand continues to position itself as the top choice for such groups, leveraging its world-class facilities, diverse attractions, and outstanding hospitality. Encouraged by the success of the Infinitus visit, TAT anticipates welcoming additional major corporate groups from China throughout 2025, contributing significantly to the country’s economic recovery and tourism growth.

Infinitus, founded in 1992, is a renowned Chinese company specialising in herbal health supplements. The firm is well-known for its commitment to rewarding top-performing sales representatives with international incentive trips that combine business and leisure. The ongoing relationship with Thailand highlights the country’s appeal as a reliable and attractive destination for corporate incentives, a partnership reinforced by the record participation of over three thousand delegates during a similar event in 2024.

As Thailand continues to expand its MICE offerings, the collaboration with Infinitus demonstrates the country’s ability to provide tailored experiences that meet the evolving needs of international business travelers. From stunning beach resorts and vibrant cultural hubs to cutting-edge convention centers, Thailand’s blend of tradition and modernity makes it an irresistible choice for global corporate events.

Looking ahead, TAT remains committed to enhancing Thailand’s MICE infrastructure and services, integrating digital innovation and sustainable practices to elevate visitor experiences. The positive outcomes of the Infinitus event provide a clear indication that Thailand is not only a favored destination for leisure tourism but also a powerhouse in the competitive international meetings and incentives market.

With its strategic location, warm climate, and world-renowned hospitality, Thailand is poised to maintain and grow its leadership in the MICE sector, attracting an increasing number of high-value visitors from China and beyond.
