Tornado warning ends for parts of central Alberta

A tornado warning has ended for an area southwest of Edmonton.

A tornado warning has ended for an area southwest of Edmonton. 

The warning, issued at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, covered Wolf Lake, Cynthia, Brazeau Dam, Drayton Valley, Breton, Alder Flats and Winfield. The warning has since been downgraded to a tornado watch.

In the event of a tornado, Environment Canada said it's recommended you take the following actions:

Many parts of the province are currently under a heat warning. There are several other severe thunderstorm watches and tornado watches in effect in Alberta.
