Tope Mark‑Odigie Introduces ‘Game of Money’ Podcast at Watch Party
Tope Mark‑Odigie, a seasoned Nigerian broadcaster, entrepreneur, and financial educator, introduced her new podcast, “Game of Money,” inspiring financial conversations at a watch party in Magodo Lagos, on March 19, 2026.
Known for her work in media and real estate, TMO aims to teach practical strategies for wealth creation, starting with Nigerians and extending across Africa.
The small but engaged crowd got an early look at a series designed to show that money is a game— one with rules that anyone can learn to master, blending real-life success stories with actionable financial advice for listeners of all backgrounds.
Speaking at the event, TMO highlighted the podcast’s ambitious mission.
The game of money is to share knowledge on how to build wealth.
“Money has principles and rules and can be likened with the game of chess,” she said
The series emphasizes that wealth can be built in many ways, either quietly behind the scenes or visibly in public, either as a salary earner or an entrepreneur, depending on individual strengths and approaches.
She stated that part of the goal is to raise one million people to become millionaires, first in Nigeria, then across Africa and the world.
Co-host Martins De Extratainer highlights that the podcast offers a unique opportunity for listeners to access insights from seasoned professionals that they would normally have to pay for.
“We invite experienced individuals to share practical knowledge openly, so that everyone can learn from strategies that actually work,” he said.
Other Co-host Olayemi Ogunwole, popularly known as Honeypot, encouraged open discussions about money, underscoring the importance of conversations that are usually considered taboo.
“Money discussions should not be avoided,” she added
“This podcast exists to help people engage with these topics without hesitation.”
During the watch party, attendees previewed Episode 1, titled “Raising Financially Intelligent Children,” which talked about common mistakes children face regarding money and emphasizes the importance of early financial awareness.
After viewing segments of the episode, the audience participated in a lively discussion, sharing opinions, personal experiences, and strategies for instilling financial discipline in children.
Many attendees commended TMO and her co-hosts for creating a podcast that is relatable, informative, and interactive.
The Game of Money series has three episodes already completed, with the first now available on all socials @thegameofmoneyseries.
Looking ahead, the team announced that the Game of Money Conference will take place on May 9, 2026, offering another platform for in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing.
The event is designed not only for entrepreneurs but also for salary earners, providing strategies and principles that can be applied by anyone seeking to grow wealth.
It promises to expand on the principles introduced in the podcast, helping participants develop actionable strategies for financial success.
With engaging storytelling, practical insights, and interactive discussion, the Game of Money podcast seeks to make financial literacy accessible and actionable.
Through its combination of personal narratives, expert advice, and audience engagement, the series demonstrates that understanding money truly is a game and one everyone can learn to play successfully.
