Top European Clubs Vying for Nigerian Star Ebenezer Akinsanmiro's Signature

Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, 21, is generating significant transfer interest across Europe following an impressive loan spell at Pisa SC during the 2025-26 season. Akinsanmiro became an integral part of Pisa's midfield, featuring in 24 Serie A matches, and his performances have now put him on the radar of several prominent clubs.

Initially, a permanent move to Pisa appeared to be the most probable outcome. Pisa had intended to activate a purchase option reportedly worth €7.5 million, convinced by the midfielder's contributions throughout the season. However, this deal unexpectedly collapsed at the final stage. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the breakdown was due to a bureaucratic error and disagreements between the clubs during the exchange of final documents, leading to Akinsanmiro's return to his parent club, Inter Milan.

The failed transfer has inadvertently strengthened Inter Milan's negotiating position. Rather than accepting the original €7.5 million fee, the Nerazzurri are now reportedly seeking as much as €10 million for the highly-rated Nigerian midfielder, aiming to maximize his growing market value.

Reports from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via Bulinews, indicate that Werder Bremen is considering making a formal offer for the former Nigerian youth international. Furthermore, Borussia Monchengladbach is also closely monitoring the midfielder's situation and could initiate negotiations with Inter Milan in the coming weeks.

Beyond Germany, other top-flight clubs are also keeping tabs on Akinsanmiro. Fellow Serie A club Bologna has reportedly made inquiries about his availability, and several Premier League clubs are said to be monitoring developments ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
