Tinubu Will Win Cross River Massively in 2027, Says Cross River Governor Otu
The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu has declared that President Bola Tinubu would win the state massively at the 2027 presidential election.
Otu made the declaration on Wednesday in Calabar, where he returned to a rousing reception, and a “Thank You”, and “Endorsement Rally”, for the president and himself, held at the UJ Esuene Stadium.
At the event initiated, and staged at the instance of the Cross River South Consultative Forum, CRSCF, Otu who represented Tinubu said the president was working assiduously to fix Nigeria’s economy.
“This burden is heavy. Running a state is hard; running 36 is harder. That’s why I say, give Mr. President time. Watch what he will do. Even in this terrible weather, you came out in numbers. That shows the love and faith you have in this government,” Otu said.
Otu said his administration in the state has made some significant impacts in the economic, and security sectors, adding, “We enlisted 13 dramatic areas of intervention when we assumed office. Today, I can say we’ve laid a solid economic foundation.
“Our economic indices have changed both in terms of addition to our gross domestic product, GDP, and productivity level. Our GDP has risen, productivity levels are higher, and Cross River is now a destination of choice for investment and national conferences,” Otu said.
He added that the states tourism programme had been sustained, and the 20th edition of Carnival Calabar, which would be staged December this year would be huge and loud, saying, “The whole world is coming to Cross River this December.”
