Tinubu's Reforms Will Bear Fruit Soon, Says Gov Eno
Governor of Akwa Ibom State Umo Eno has declared that in a couple of months, the President Bola Tinubu administration’s ongoing economic reforms, which he described as “remarkable,” would begin to yield the much-anticipated dividends.
The governor, who returned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), South-South Stakeholders Summit in Edo State, expressed the optimism at the weekend at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, the state capital.
While scoring the economic reforms high, the governor noted that the reforms would engender remarkable impacts on Akwa Ibom and other states in the South-South region.
Responding to questions from newsmen, Eno explained that the conference was largely interactive, offering opportunities for new entrants to interact with other stakeholders across the region.
He said, “The summit went well. It was quite interactive, and an opportunity to get together for some of us who have just joined the party. It was our first major outing as far as South-South is concerned.
“It gave us the opportunity to meet with the stakeholders, interact with them, and come up with a communique. So it was a good outing.”
He commended Tinubu for his economic reforms and said, “I have never hidden my love for the President. He has brought up remarkable reforms to grow the nation’s economy. He has supported us in the South-South to implement our laudable projects.
“Our nation’s economy is turning around. I believe that in the next couple of months, we will begin to see the dividends.”
Governor Eno assured that the economy of the state was growing steadily as lots of life-changing projects and programmes were being embarked upon and tracked to meet the set targets for the benefit of the people and the state.
“We are pursuing and doing our projects. We have finished our two-day project review meeting. The ship of the state is perfectly on course,” he stated.
Governor Eno, therefore, called on the people to continue to support the state government, the president, and the senate president in their leadership efforts to reposition the state and the country for optimal growth.
