The immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has declared her full support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid.

According to a statement on Friday signed by her spokesperson, Musa Abdulrahman, Ohanenye said her support for the president is based on her conviction in his leadership, which she described as visionary, courageous, and focused on national transformation.

“My commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not merely political; it is a deep-seated conviction born from observing his visionary leadership, his unwavering dedication to national progress, and his genuine commitment to improving the lives of every Nigerian,” she said.

The former minister noted that Tinubu had made significant strides despite the challenges inherited by his administration, citing progress in economic reforms, social welfare, and national security as indicators of his leadership’s effectiveness.

“From economic reforms designed to foster sustainable growth to critical interventions aimed at bolstering security and enhancing social welfare, President Tinubu has shown an undeniable resolve,” she said.

The former minister also announced plans to re-launch a grassroots campaign organisation, “Naija Save Naija 2027,” with a target to mobilise 10 million Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

She said her group has played a key role in mobilising votes in 2023, particularly among people living with disabilities and vulnerable communities, is being revitalised to support Tinubu’s re-election.

She said the 10-million-strong target represents a collective voice of confidence in the president’s leadership.

“Our target of 10 million Nigerians is not just a number; it represents a resounding affirmation of confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, and a clear mandate for him to continue steering Nigeria towards prosperity,” she stated.

She disclosed that the renewed hope campaign would engage all segments of society, women, youth, traders, farmers, professionals, and vulnerable groups, across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to promote President Tinubu’s achievements and vision.

Ohanenye called on Nigerians to support the campaign and the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a blueprint for lasting progress.

“President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is not a slogan; it is a living document of progress. I have full confidence that he will continue to deliver on his promises,” she added.
