Tinubu Rallies Allies in Fierce War Against Terrorism

President Bola Tinubu has emphatically called upon Nigeria’s international partners and allies to provide unwavering support in the nation’s ongoing struggle against terrorism. Reaffirming his administration’s steadfast commitment, President Tinubu declared an unshakable resolve to decisively defeat the violent extremists and criminal networks that pose a severe threat to Nigeria's national stability.
In a powerful statement issued on Friday, President Tinubu conveyed a message of assurance, asserting that Nigeria confronts its challenges directly and maintains a firm stance in advocating its interests on the global stage. He emphasized that this advocacy is guided by a calm, clear, and purposeful approach. "We face challenges head-on and remain steadfast in our commitment to engage partners and champion Nigeria’s interests on the diplomatic front," Tinubu stated, adding, "We are confidently asserting our presence on the global stage, guided by unwavering calm, clarity, and a strong sense of purpose."
Addressing the renewed international focus on Nigeria's security, President Tinubu reiterated that the fight against terrorism, which has afflicted the nation for nearly two decades, will be pursued with heightened determination until its complete eradication. He affirmed, "We are indeed faced with terrorism, a challenge Nigeria has faced for almost two decades, and we will not back down. We will decisively defeat terrorism and claim victory in this battle. Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle." The President further stressed that courage and strict adherence to the rule of law would remain the foundational principles guiding his administration's strategy for national security, expressing confidence that, "With unwavering courage and a steadfast commitment to the rule of law, we will prevail."
President Tinubu underscored the profound unity and resilience inherent within Nigerians, describing the nation as a single, cohesive family united by shared hope and a collective purpose. He declared, "Nigeria is one united family. We rise together, move forward together, and reject despair in favour of determination. Our future is far more robust and stronger than any fears we may have." Furthermore, he assured both citizens and the international community that his government is dedicated to continuously consolidating reforms and delivering inclusive growth, concurrently with efforts to stabilize security across the nation. "The task ahead is immense, yet our resolve is even greater. We will continue to sustain and build on our reform gains and deliver a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria," Tinubu added.
In his commitment to eradicating criminal elements from society, President Tinubu pledged that the government would "spare no effort and leave no stone unturned." He urgently called upon friendly nations to strengthen collaboration in critical areas such as intelligence sharing, training, and logistical support, which he believes are essential to accelerating victory over terrorism. "We urge our allies to stand firmly with us as we amplify our fight against terrorism. We have made significant progress in the past two years and we will decisively eliminate this threat," the President noted.
Moreover, Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s esteemed position as a dependable global partner and a vocal advocate for stability. He stated that the country would continue to collaborate with its friends and allies to foster peace and shared prosperity. "Nigeria will be, and remain a reliable partner and dependable ally to its friends and a steady voice for stability. We also welcome the collaboration and support of our allies, friends, and partners as we strengthen both security and economic growth," he conveyed.
The President concluded by paying a special tribute to the brave men and women of the nation’s armed forces and intelligence community. He commended their unwavering courage, profound patriotism, and selfless sacrifices in defending Nigeria's unity and sovereignty. "To the brave men and women of our armed forces and intelligence community, united by purpose regardless of tribe or religion, who serve fearlessly, fight side-by-side and sometimes pay the ultimate price, we express our deepest gratitude. Your commitment is our strength in the fight against terror," Tinubu expressed. He ended his message with a resolute reassurance that Nigeria’s collective courage, steadfastly guided by the rule of law, would ultimately guarantee a lasting victory against all threats. "With courage and the rule of law, we will triumph," the President declared.
