Following an MRI conducted by Dr. Craig Bennett at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine, it was revealed that Edwards is suffering from inflammation in his right knee, leading to an estimated reevaluation period of one to two weeks. The team stated that further updates on his progress will be provided as they become available.
This injury comes at an inopportune moment for the Timberwolves, who are currently sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference standings. They are actively working to maintain their position against the Phoenix Suns, who are just two games behind Minnesota.
