A disturbing case involving TikToker Mirabel, known as @mirab351, has unfolded, revealing an alleged fabrication of a rape claim and an intricate impersonation scheme targeting a young businessman, Mr. Godwin Maduagu. Mirabel had initially garnered widespread sympathy by posting emotional videos where she alleged that an unidentified man forcibly entered her apartment on February 15, restrained her, and threatened that his influential family would protect him from justice.

However, exclusive reports from SaharaReporters, based on an interview with Alexander Akujieze, counsel to Mr. Godwin Maduagu, suggest that the rape allegation was a component of a calculated impersonation plot. The situation escalated after the Lagos State government issued a public notice seeking information about the alleged rapist. Akujieze recounted that after Mirabel’s video went viral, the Lagos State government’s public appeal led to his client, Mr. Maduagu, being implicated.

Maduagu was alerted by a friend via WhatsApp, who sent him messages and pictures indicating that unknown individuals were attempting to set him up. This setup involved a fake TikTok account named “Priston,” which began reposting Maduagu’s pictures repeatedly and engaging suspiciously with his official account. The impersonator went as far as placing Maduagu’s official TikTok handle, GODWIN MADUAGU, in the bio of the fake “Priston” account.
