TikTok Crowns a Star: Alex Warren Wins Breakthrough at Inaugural Awards

The inaugural TikTok Awards took place at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 18, celebrating the platform's most influential creators and artists. Alex Warren, known for his hit song “Ordinary,” was a standout recipient, being crowned Breakthrough of the Year.
This significant achievement marks his second new artist win, following his triumph as Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 7. Warren is also a nominee for Best New Artist at the upcoming Grammy Awards, where he will once again face competitors like KATSEYE and sombr, in addition to Olivia Dean, The Marías, Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, and Lola Young, with the winner to be announced on February 1.
Beyond Warren's success, the ceremony honored a diverse range of talent across various categories. Paris Hilton was recognized as the Muse of the Year, while LawbyMike took home the ”I Was Today Years Old” Award. The event provided a comprehensive showcase of TikTok's vibrant community and the creativity it fosters.

Creator of the Year: Keith Lee (keith_lee125), who emerged victorious over nominees like Adam Waheed, Alix Earle, Brooke Monk, and Kristy Scott.
Video of the Year: Bretman Sacayanan (bretmanrock) for his captivating content, besting Chris Finck, Ron Clark, Taylor Timinskas, and Betül Tunç.
Rising Star of the Year: Jeremiah Brown (findjeremiah), who shone brighter than fellow nominees Caleb Hearon, Keenan & Andrew Iwinski, Eddy Nieblas, and Sydney Robinson.
Storyteller of the Year: Tineke “Tini” Younger (tinekeyounger), recognized for her compelling narratives over Jordan Howlett, Katie Van Slyke, Logan Moffitt, and Jordan Netzel.
TikTok for Good Award: The Valentine Brothers (Patrick Ramirez), celebrated for their positive impact, ahead of Alexis Nikole Nelson, Caitlin Sarian, Sam Hyun, and Sasha Hamdani.
My Show is On Award [Film & TV]: Dayane Espinoza (dayanechrissel), who triumphed against Monserrat Gutierrez, Reece Feldman, Ryan Omoto, and Matt Ramos.
MVP of the Year [Sports]: Mariah Rose (mariahcrose), who outperformed Brittany Wilson-Isenhour, Matt Kiatipis, Mohammad Ali Heydarpour, and Daniel Buyeske.
Okay Slay Award [Fashion/Beauty]: Katie Fang (katiefanggg), recognized in a category that also included Darcei Giles, Stephanie Santana, Meredith Duxbury, and Wisdom Kaye.
Immediately Added To Cart Award: Lexi Rosenstein (klothesminded), chosen over Brooke Sobol, Gini Vasquez, and Kelsey Martinez.

The entire ceremony was streamed live on @TikTok and Tubi, the official streaming partner of the TikTok Awards 2025, and will also be available on demand on Tubi the following day.
