Friday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art turned into Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder celebration, where celebrities came to shine. While Anya Taylor-Joy undoubtedly stole a lot of the attention (deservedly so), there were plenty of other fabulous faces who graced the blue carpet. Some played it safe, others took risks, and a few had me tilting my head in confusion. Here’s a roundup of the looks.

Some of you might have been craving more theatre from , who decided to keep things beautifully simple in a black off-the-shoulder dress. Minimalist? Yes. A little too minimalist? Perhaps.

But she knew exactly what she was doing, making the pendant necklace and brooch in yellow gold and platinum — with a jaw-dropping green tourmaline of over 20 carats, diamonds and sapphires — the main event. Mission accomplished.

stepped onto the carpet wearing , showcasing a two-piece ensemble featuring the designer’s signature puzzle top — crafted using a sustainable Zero Waste technique — paired with an inside-out crinoline skirt that exposed its structural underlayers. A very cool concept in theory, but honestly, all I could do was stare longingly at her necklace. Sometimes the jewellery really does steal the show.

, wife of Lionel Messi, chose a pink dress with a plunging neckline, the perfect frame for her diamonds. We’re so used to WAGs bringing full-throttle glamour, but kept it surprisingly low-key and understated.

Speaking of understated, embodied it in herblack velvet gown. She smartly swapped the runway jewellery for breathtaking pieces, featuring a Fancy Intense Yellow diamond of over 18 carats with yellow and white diamond accents from the 2024 Blue Book Collection. The perfect example of less-is-more luxury.

, an arbiter of all things chic, had a rare stumble with her blue satin gown. The too-long hem caused a visible knock-on effect through the gown’s silhouette. She probably hoped the aquamarine pendant necklace would dazzle us enough to overlook it. Alas, us fashion people notice everything.

clearly understood the assignment with her Elie Saab sequined tulle strapless gown from the Resort 2025 collection, pairing it beautifully with jewels. A classic, full-glam moment that didn’t try too hard but still delivered maximum impact.

chose a dress adorned with the label’s signature gold charms. For a jewellery-focused event? A bold — if slightly questionable — choice. Adding black pumps to this pale blue look just made the whole thing feel a bit mismatched. A little more thought into the overall vibe would have elevated this.

was pure sophistication in a white embellished gown, styled with complementary jewels that worked in perfect harmony. Every detail was so thoughtfully balanced, from the sparkle to the silhouette. This was one of the night’s quiet triumphs.

chose a vintage gown, and from the waist up, I was swooning. The problem was the skirt — it needed a much narrower cut to avoid looking dated. At 29 years old, this gown needed a few tweaks to make it sing again. Vintage can be tricky, and unfortunately, this needed a bit more love to really work.

wore a gown that had me falling head over heels for the 3D appliqué skirt — truly heavenly. The bodice, however, needed a serious upgrade in the fit department. When the skirt is this gorgeous, you want the top half to rise to the occasion too.

high-neck, long-sleeve draped pink dress felt like an odd pick for a jewellery event — until she turned around. The open back dramatically revealed her Tiffany & Co. necklace, which made the whole choice slightly more understandable.

The night proved that when you’re draped in Tiffany & Co. diamonds, you’re already halfway to looking fabulous.
