The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced an All-Women's CTS 400 Level Instructor class taking place Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 in Youngstown, Ohio.

This marks the 10-year anniversary of the very first All-Women's CTS 400 class and TIA says it is commemorating the milestone with a dedicated session aimed at “empowering and advancing women in the tire service industry.”

Designed for technicians and industry professionals who are looking to become TIA certified instructors, the CTS 400 course covers a comprehensive curriculum that includes safety guidelines, step-by-step service procedures and hands-on training on proper demounting, mounting and installation of commercial truck tires.

“Ten years ago, TIA hosted its first All-Women’s CTS class to spotlight the growing presence and importance of women in the tire industry,” says Dick Gust, CEO of TIA.

“Today, we’re proud to continue fostering that progress by offering women a supportive, skills-focused learning environment that helps them grow as leaders.”

The almost four-day training will be led by Matt White, director of off-road tire service for TIA, and is open to all women seeking advanced certification. Graduates will be qualified to teach the TIA 300 Level Certified CTS Technician course in the field.
