Thomas Barton Wine Hosts Lavish Lagos Soiree: A Night of Unforgettable Elegance

Barton & Guestier, in partnership with Brian Munro Limited, recently orchestrated an exclusive wine dinner at the sophisticated Black Pepper Restaurant, located within the Pearl Towers in Eko Atlantic, Lagos, Nigeria. This high-profile gathering, aptly named “a French night affair in the heart of Lagos,” celebrated the city's appreciation for fine taste, good company, and life's exquisite pleasures. The event brought together a distinguished array of guests, including esteemed wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts, A-list celebrities, prominent lifestyle journalists, and loyal brand patrons, all eager to indulge in the rich legacy of the Thomas Barton Collection, a revered and long-established French wine label.

The evening unfolded within a warm and elegantly lit atmosphere, where guests were treated to a meticulously crafted multi-course meal designed to perfectly complement the distinct characteristics of the Thomas Barton wines. Each glass served during the dinner narrated a compelling story of tradition, heritage, deep knowledge, and the intricate art of wine-vinification. Paul Viguier, the Business Development Manager from Barton & Guestier, guided the attendees on an insightful journey, exploring the unique aroma, taste, and flavor profiles that define the Thomas Barton Brand.

The leadership team of Brian Munro Limited was prominently featured, with the General Manager, Commercial, Rilwan Shofunde, emphasizing their core commitment. In his remarks, Shofunde stated, “Our commitment to provide Nigerians with high-quality brands and the desire for excellence in all that we do is what makes tonight significant. It’s about heritage, craftsmanship, of the remarkable Thomas Barton wine brand, since 1725, and its connection with Nigeria’s bold and zestful spirit.” Further elaborating on their vision, Nkechinyere Nwachukwu, the Senior Marketing Manager of Brian Munro, added, “The culture of wine consumption in Nigeria is a rising trend, and with Thomas Barton wines, we’re committed to bringing world-class wines to our partners and consumers; an offer of timeless elegance, tradition, and distinct taste that comes with every shared glass.”

The entire evening was a harmonious fusion of authentic Nigerian hospitality and refined French sophistication. It beautifully captured a shared passion for fine living and exceptional dining, filled with genuine laughter, heartfelt toasts, and engaging conversations, all gracefully underscored by the warm, rich melodies of a violin serenading the guests into the night.
