The Queen Is Back: Mariah Carey Ends 7-Year Silence With New Album!

Mariah Carey has officially released her highly anticipated 16th studio album, "Here For It All," on Friday, September 26, via gamma. This 11-track LP marks a significant return for the iconic artist, showcasing her enduring sparkle and vocal prowess seven years after her last studio effort, "Caution."
The album was prefaced by two compelling singles that set the stage for its release. "Type Dangerous" quickly garnered critical acclaim, winning Best R&B at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, an event where Carey was also honored with the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. This single further solidified her legacy, becoming her landmark 50th Billboard Hot 100 hit and her first No. 1 on Adult R&B Airplay in nearly two decades. The second single, "Sugar Sweet," features collaborations with Shenseea and Kehlani, adding diverse and contemporary voices to Carey's signature sound.

Although not featured on the album itself, a snippet of a song titled "In Your Feelings" was previewed by SZA and Carey during an Apple Music conversation in New York City, creating further buzz among fans.
Carey also provided insight into the album's creation during an interview with Gayle King on CBS Morningsearlier in the release week. She discussed the intentionality behind the title track, "Here For It All," and its placement as the closing song on the project. "The last song on the album I decided first. I was like, ‘The last song is going to be “Here For It All.” And I’m going to make it the title track.’ It’s just something that feels good to me, and I didn’t want people to miss it," she explained, highlighting her deliberate artistic choices.
