In connection with the conclusion of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, a “Trio” meeting was held on June 26 in Brussels. Military Representatives (MILREPs) attended the meeting from the "Trio" member states’: Poland, Denmark, and Cyprus.

The engagement provided the opportunity to informally take stock of the six months of the Polish presidency and ensure a smooth transition as well as a continuity of efforts. Coordination between Presidencies on the topics identified in programs with CEUMC’ visions and priorities is key, as the defence of Europe is a top priority.

The Polish Presidency supported activities strengthening European security in all its dimensions: external, internal, information, economic, energy, food, and health.

During this Presidency, tangible progress was made by contributing to the White Paper for European Defence Readiness 2030 and its implementation, acting proactively across the formal and informal structures of EU defence governance to inform EU decision-making.

After six months of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Poland is handing over responsibilities to Denmark, which is taking over the Presidency in July this year.
