The one baby name trend celebrities are obsessed with now

Published 1 month ago3 minute read
Got a brand new baby to name? How exciting!

Coming up with the perfect baby name is such a rush, but getting there can sometimes be a bit of a struggle. I mean; there are just so many factors to take into account.

Are you looking for something unique? A more traditional moniker? A family name? Something elegant? Or a name that is not too popular right now, meaning your child won’t have to share a name with half his class when they start school?

Short and ‘effortless’ baby names are on the rise, and they are really cute too

Or, if you are having your first baby, but already plan on having another, have you thought about a themed name? Celebrities are all over this baby name trend, and honestly, they might just be onto something with this one.

One celebrity that recently opted for a themed baby name is supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Bündchen recently welcomed her third baby, a boy, with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente. And while his first name has yet to be revealed, the mum-of-three continued her sweet tradition of nature-inspired middle names by choosing the moniker River.

This addition beautifully complements the water-themed middle names of her two older children, Vivian Lake and Benjamin Rein.

By selecting names like River, Lake, and Rein, the model creates a lovely connection between her children’s names.

Another celebrity mum who has gone for a thematic baby name trend is Brittany Mahomes, wife of American football star, Patrick Mahomes, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Mahomes have gone for a metallic theme for their three kids’ names, opting to name them Sterling, Bronze and Golden.

This bold choice adds a modern twist to traditional naming trends, and is just out there enough to make them stand out, without being so crazy that people can accuse them of not giving their children real names.

Another celebrity couple who are opting for themed baby names are Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Ruem, who have welcomed two children via a surrogate, both named after locations: Phoenix and London.

And then there is perhaps the most common and famous celebrity thematic baby name trend of all – opting to give your kids names that all start with the same letter – think the Kris Jenner, who, of course, has daughters called Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie.

Thematic baby names are trending

The thing is, thematic baby names are not just for celebrities. In fact, more and more parents are increasingly drawn to patterns that give their children’s names a shared story or deeper meaning, whether inspired by nature, metals, celestial elements, or a shared letter, thematic names are a way to express creativity and familial connection.

Thematic baby names are great for many reasons. They can create a sense of shared family identity and perhaps a sense of unity among siblings.

Themed names can also be symbolic, and parents who go for these often pick names that hold personal significance, reflecting values or passions.
