Manilow’s reputation as a legendary showman is well-established, built on the foundation of his successful Las Vegas residency and record-breaking appearances at venues like Radio City Music Hall. His extensive touring history is evident in his music, famously referenced in his 1975 Billboard Hot 100 hit “It’s a Miracle” with the line, “From Boston to Denver/ And every town in between.”
Ahead of these anticipated farewell tour dates, Manilow has released a new single, a captivating cover of the Peter Allen-Dean Pitchford ballad titled “Once Before I Go.” This recording was produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Demonte Posey. The song originally appeared on Peter Allen’s 1983 album, *Not the Boy Next Door*, and has since been covered by notable artists including Patti LaBelle, Hugh Jackman (in the Broadway production *The Boy From Oz*), and Johnny Mathis, whose version also featured production by Babyface on his final non-holiday studio album.
