TGI Fridays Just Scrapped 85% Of Its Menu-Here's What's New
TGI Fridays wants you to know (looking at you, Chili’s) that it’s not going anywhere. The fast-casual chain has had a rough run, shuttering several locations last January and filing for bankruptcy in November. But now? Things are finally looking up—with a major menu rebrand underway.
Yep, the chain is officially in its comeback era. As first reported by TODAY, TGI Fridays is rolling out a full menu revamp, kicking things off with crave-worthy apps like loaded tater tots.
“Fridays has a legacy worth celebrating, and we’re leaning into that,” CEO Ray Blanchette told TODAY. “We leveled up the flavor on our Mozzarella Sticks, along with nearly the entire menu. Longtime fans will see familiar favorites made better, and first-time guests will get a fresh take on what makes Fridays special.”
Speaking of mozzarella sticks, the brand is also introducing three (!!) new flavors of cheesy bread: RedHot Buffalo, Garlic Parmesan, and a Fridays-exclusive Whiskey Glaze. That buffalo one? Absolutely calling my name. And with Chili’s currently going viral for its own pull-apart cheesy bread, it looks like there’s some real competition heating up.
While the revamped mozzarella sticks may be stealing the spotlight, they’re far from the only update. The drink menu is also stacked with “sips that slap,” like the Fri-Yay Rita—a sweet, sour, and slightly salty margarita made with Patrón Silver, house-made agave sour, and a splash of Grand Marnier.
Looking for something more classic? Try Jack’s New Fashioned, made with Jack Daniel’s, Angostura bitters, and black cherry. Or shake things up with the Strawberry Henny—a summer-perfect mix of Hennessy V.S, Grand Marnier, and fresh strawberry purée.
Hats off to you, TGI Fridays. This isn’t just a comeback—it’s a full-blown food war. A lineup like this? Chili’s, your move.
