TB Joshua's disciple Christopher Tonge, wife welcome baby boy
Christopher Tonge, founder of God’s Heart TV and disciple of the late Prophet TB Joshua, has welcomed a baby boy with his wife, Allison.
Brother Chris, as is he is fondly called from his days at Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), shared the news on on Monday, posting photos of himself, his wife and their newborn son.
He wrote, “Dear Josiah, as I hold you in my arms as a first-time father, I am struck with a holy reminder – you are ours to hold, not ours to own. You are a gift from God – intricately woven by the Divine Designer, fashioned in the secret place by the same hands that flung stars into space (Psalm 139:13–14) – a precious gift entrusted to us – for a season, for a reason. And in that trust lies the sacred weight of stewardship:
“To shepherd your heart toward the One who breathed life into it, whose fingerprints mark every fibre of your being. To love fiercely yet hold freely – tight enough to help grow but light enough to let go.
For it is not the firmness of our grip but the fullness of your growth. True love prepares to leave. So, I carry you carefully with the consciousness of the One who carries us both.”
He revealed that the child, named “Josiah Timothy Tonge,” was born on Thursday, May 29, adding, “Thank You, Jesus Christ, for the gift of life!”
Brother Chris married Allison, also a disciple of TB Joshua, in Cali, Colombia on September 18, 2022.
Their love story began in 2014 during a crusade held by TB Joshua in Cali, where Allison served as a translator. Following the event, she joined SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria, dedicating herself to full-time ministry under Joshua’s leadership.
Their wedding was attended by close family and friends, including Racine Bousso, a prominent SCOAN figure and Brother Chris’s brother-in-law, who officiated the ceremony.
Brother Chris has often described their union as divinely orchestrated, rooted in shared faith and a deep commitment to God’s work.
Christopher is the brother of another Joshua follower Ruth Bousso (nee Tonge) who is married to fellow disciple Racine Bousso.
