Tanzania is set to significantly enhance its economic and tourism ties with Russia following the upcoming launch of direct flights between Moscow and Dar es Salaam. This new air route, slated to commence next month, is anticipated to profoundly transform travel, trade, and investment exchanges between the two nations. President Samia Suluhu Hassan, while on an official visit to Moscow, articulated that this direct connection represents a strategic breakthrough in bilateral relations, facilitating easier access for tourists, investors, and business communities from both sides.

The direct flights are expected to substantially lower travel impediments, thereby positioning Tanzania as a more accessible destination for Russian travelers and bolstering commercial engagement between the two countries. During a televised interview with a Russian media outlet, President Samia highlighted Tanzania's iconic attractions, including the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, the vast Serengeti National Park, and the ecologically rich Ngorongoro Conservation Area. She underscored that these globally renowned sites are pivotal to Tanzania's strategy to expand its market share within the Russian outbound tourism sector.

Furthermore, Zanzibar is gaining prominence as a preferred destination among Russian visitors, attributed to its pristine white-sand beaches, enhanced hospitality infrastructure, and a growing array of leisure activities. President Samia emphasized that the new route will streamline movement for both tourists and businesspeople, thereby anticipating a considerable boost in tourist arrivals and the emergence of new investment opportunities.
