Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid go head-to-head in the heavyweight Club World Cup semi-final on Wednesday, while England Women face a must-win Euro 2025 tie against the Netherlands. 

England Women’s Euro 2025 hopes were dealt a blow with an opening Group D defeat to France, but the defending European champions look an excellent bet to bounce back against the Netherlands. 

The Lionesses were second-best against the Les Bleues, but the French are a top-level side and it’s worth remembering that Sarina Wiegman’s women would have been a goal up had Alessia Russo’s strike not been ruled out. 

There should also be progress from England, with Alex Greenwood, Lauren James and Lauren Hemp only recently returning from injury. 

The Netherlands made no mistake when beating Wales 3-0 in their Euro 2025 opener, but Oranje face a major step up in class when they take on the Lionesses in Zurich. 

PSG and Real Madrid meet in a top-level Club World Cup semi-final, but there are reasons to think that the two defences may struggle to keep their opposition at bay. 

The Parisians have scored 27 goals in their last matches, but Luis Enrique will be without suspended defensive duo Willian Pacho and Theo Hernandez in New Jersey. 

There have been 13 strikes in Real’s last four Club World Cup matches and the Los Blancos defence has been hit by the ban of Dean Huijsen.

There is a whole host of attacking talent on display at the MetLife Stadium and backing over 1.5 first-half goals could be the best way to play what should be an entertaining last-four showdown.

France Women impressed in their opening 2-1 Euro 2025 victory over England and Les Bleues could run riot against Wales Women. 

The French hit 14 shots on goal and created an expected goals figure of 2.34 against a top-level Lionesses side and that doesn’t bode well for Wales. 

Laurent Bonadei’s women went unbeaten in this season’s Nations League campaign and they are most certainly a nation on the rise.

Wales shipped three goals and 19 shots against the Netherlands and the Dutch are a step or two below France. 

The St Gallen clash could easily get away from the Dragons and backing over 5.5 goals looks a nice way to side with a rampant French success.
