Survivor of Accident That Killed 13 Wedding Guests Recounts Horrific Moments Before Crash
– A man who survived a grisly road accident that claimed the lives of 13 people returning from a wedding ceremony has recounted the harrowing moments before the fatal crash.

He revealed that the driver was speeding and recklessly navigating sharp corners.
“The scene of the accident was very chaotic, and there was a lot of bloodshed. Some victims called for help when the car crashed,” he said.
He also noted that all those who were injured were rushed to hospital, where some later succumbed to their injuries.
Families who lost their loved ones are still struggling to come to terms with the devastating loss, as they face financial hardship in covering hospital bills and funeral expenses.
“We’re struggling to pay hospital bills and organise a fitting farewell for our departed loved ones,” said William Mangeni, a man who lost his wife and two daughters.
Buhehe Sub-County LCIII Chairman, Charles Mangeni, said the bodies of 10 out of the 13 people who died had been moved — eight to a mortuary in Busia, Uganda, and two to a mortuary in Busia, Kenya.
According to the Daily Monitor two victims, including Farouk Bogere and Prossy Kibaki, had already been buried in Kisenyi, Busia Town, and Bugiri District, respectively.
The deceased were members of the Abakwala Clan from Magombe Village and were returning from a traditional wedding ceremony in Kapchorwa District before the tragic crash.
Out of the 13 deceased, five were members of a single family.

The tragic accident occurred along the Kapchorwa–Mbale Road in Kaserem county on May 17 when a Toyota Hiace they were in lost control and overturned several times.
Fredmark Chesang, the Sipi Regional Police spokesperson, said the vehicle was overloaded and likely speeding.
He added that police were investigating the possibility of brake failure or reckless driving as the cause of the crash.
Police commander Hakim Mungwana urged road users to avoid reckless driving, noting that most accidents are caused by human error. He also called on passengers to speak up if a driver is speeding, emphasising that doing so could save lives.
In other news, reported that seven Catholic fathers died in a tragic accident in Obudu, Enugu State, Nigeria.
During their burial, it emerged that the Capuchin Friars of Nigeria had cried out for help, but no one was willing to assist them.
The priest who presided over the burial criticised residents of the area where the accident occurred for failing to offer assistance.
