Street Fighter X Tekken recently had the Games for Windows Live option removed on Steam, reportedly making the game unplayable online with users being unable to access their save data.

However, now you can access the DLC you've purchased, which you couldn't do previously if you didn't use a CD Key for your game. The game is still not listed as being for sale on Steam.

Some unfortunate news has recently caught our attention. Dave Mallow passed away on March 11, 2025 at the age of 76.

For those that don't know him, Dave Mallow was the English voice actor for Akuma in Ultra Street Fighter 4, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Street Fighter X Tekken. This also meant that he did the English voice lines for Oni (Akuma after he fully embraces the Satsui no Hado) in Ultra Street Fighter 4.

Rumor has it that Bad Box Art Mega Man was created due to a lack of direction during the development of the first Mega Man. It's crazy to think that Bad Box Art Mega Man was essentially the first introduction to the the Mega Man series for us in America.

What's even stranger is that Bad Box Art Mega Man even managed to become a playable character in Street Fighter X Tekken (exclusively available on the PlayStation version). It felt like a pretty controversial decision to longtime Mega Man fans due to the lack of serious representation within the gaming industry at the time (especially amidst a number of game cancellations that happened).

The term "worst" could mean a lot of different things when it comes to fighting game mechanics, and so before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we should clarify that Khanage's excellent new video is talking about a comeback mechanic that's incredibly ineffective at doing its job.

Where so many modern games erred on the side of giving losing characters too much of an unearned advantage (looking real hard at you, V-Trigger in Street Fighter 5) Street Fighter X Tekken's Pandora Mode was an unfortunate flop.

Though Street Fighter X Tekken was expected take Street Fighter 4's place as the top fighting game back when it was released, it ended up being a massive flop for Capcom. However, Capcom eventually decided to take some of the characters that were in Street Fighter X Tekken and essentially import them into Street Fighter 4 (along with newcomer Decapre) to create Ultra Street Fighter 4.

Of course, only the Street Fighter combatants joined the roster of Ultra Street Fighter 4. The idea of a third party guest character playable in a mainline Street Fighter is something that only just happened earlier this year with the announcement of Terry and Mai coming to Street Fighter 6.

Once a game is pulled from stores, it's usually gone for good unless it receives an official rerelease, but we may witness some rare exceptions in the near future.

Capcom pulled a handful of their titles from Steam years ago including Street Fighter X Tekken, and there's some evidence building that they could be returning to the service soon with some updates.

Earlier this week, Killbox provided a sneak peek at a work-in-progress mod that made Tekken's Kazuya a playable fighter in Street Fighter 5. Of course, the character was clearly far from being finished considering how weak his hits were.

It seems that Killbox has made more progress on the Kazuya mod as he has more to show this time. Now it would appear that Kazuya has access to his iconic Electric Wind God Fist.

For many in the fighting game community, the Xbox 360 served as the genre's home as it moved into the online era, but that house is about to shut its doors for good.

Microsoft is now hours away from closing down the Xbox 360 Marketplace, which means a bunch of classic / fan favorite fighting games are essentially going to disappear unless you pick them up now.

After nearly 40 years, Capcom is doing something that hasn't really happened in Street Fighter before, which is really going to shake things up.

SNK's Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui were recently announced for Street Fighter 6 as the series' first true guest characters alongside M. Bison and Elena, bringing with them some big implications for the game and maybe even crossover fighters as a whole — especially holding out hope for Capcom vs. SNK 3.

For the past handful of years, Capcom has pretty much been on a roll in terms of raking in record profits while also keeping their various playerbase groups fairly happy with their games (a decent chunk of the time at least).

The company recently updated their growing Platinum Titles collection pages to update how all of their big games are performing including Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, and plenty more.

Capcom just unveiled their latest DLC character set to join Street Fighter 6. Ed, the Psycho Powered boxer from Street Fighter 5, makes his grand return with an updated design and some slick new moves.

With the upcoming fighter's full gameplay trailer having been released, fans were quick to notice that a good portion of Ed's moves looked pretty darn familiar. This new comparison video from b_HAUNT shows that Ed's move set appears to borrow fairly heavily from a certain Tekken boxer.

It's crazy to think that Tekken X Street Fighter (along with Street Fighter X Tekken) was announced back in 2010. Since then, Street Fighter X Tekken, Street Fighter 5, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 7, and Tekken 8 have all been released.

We were recently reminded of what could've been thanks to Tekken 8's character customization. Players are encouraged to express themselves with these tools within Tekken 8. As highlighted by Sayed Omair Siam, someone was actually able to place Street Fighter's Ryu and Ken into Tekken 8 with these options.

There's been a lot of discussion, speculation and confusion these past few days regarding Capcom's adoption of a different DRM (Digital Rights Management) program and the implications it is having / will have on its games.

Now that some of the dust has settled and those with more technical knowledge and experience have delved into the issue, it appears as though the initial concerns over mods in Capcom games were likely overblown and misconstrued.

In the entirety of the fighting game community, there's very few people if anyone who can stand up to the success across multiple games / franchises that Justin Wong has over the past two decades.

The multi-title champion just put together and released his new tier list, which ranks what he believes are the best fighting games basically ever released as of the end of 2023.

For the past 5+ years, Capcom has pretty much been on a roll with some of their best selling and received video games ever, which hasn't slowed down yet.

The company just updated its growing list of platinum titles that have sold over 1 million copies, which lets us see how Capcom's fighting games have continued to grow as of September 30, 2023.

Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter were both announced at San Diego Comic-Con all the way back in 2010, and while we got the first game in 2012, the latter project has never fully materialized.

Former Capcom Producer Yoshinori Ono made a surprise appearance on the Evo 2023 finals stage to pester the Bandai Namco developers about the crossover we haven't gotten.
