The NSE Nifty50 index ended 120.75 points down at 25517.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 452.44 points at 83606.46.

Trent Ltd.(up 3.29%), State Bank of India(up 1.86%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 1.69%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.68%), Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 1.03%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 0.99%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.92%), Eternal Ltd.(up 0.88%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.76%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.7%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
