Stellantis Opens Northeast Mopar Parts Distribution Center with Robotic System
The 534,000-square-foot facility employs 100 people and uses the AutoStore system, which includes 40 robotic units operating on a grid system, to enhance speed and accuracy.
Stellantis marked an expansion of its North American logistics network with the grand opening of its $64 million Mopar Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in East Fishkill, NY. The new facility is the first in the U.S. to integrate AutoStore, a robotic automated storage and retrieval system that enhances warehouse efficiency and minimizes environmental impact.
Spanning 534,000 square feet and employing nearly 100 workers, the East Fishkill PDC consolidates operations from previous sites in Tappan, NY, and Boston. It will handle more than 2 million part shipments annually across the Northeast and stock more than 46,000 unique components to support Stellantis dealerships and customers.
“The launch of our new Mopar Parts Distribution Center in East Fishkill marks a significant investment in our long-term growth and service capabilities,” said , Mopar senior vice president for North America. “By integrating cutting-edge technology and automation, we're strengthening our supply chain, accelerating delivery times and reinforcing our commitment to dealer and customer satisfaction along with employee success.”
The centerpiece of the center’s technological leap is the AutoStore system, which includes 40 robotic units operating on a grid system across 18,000 square feet of high-density storage. These robots access parts from 70,000 bins and deliver them to designated stations for packing and distribution -- enhancing order speed, accuracy and efficiency while requiring less physical space.
In addition to technological improvements, the facility reflects Stellantis’ sustainability strategy. By consolidating two existing PDCs and reducing the warehouse footprint through automation, Mopar has cut down on overall energy usage and emissions in the region.
“This facility is not just an investment in infrastructure, but in our people, our businesses and our future,” said Dutchess County Legislator . “Stellantis’ decision to bring this advanced distribution center and nearly 100 jobs to our community underscores our town's potential as a growing hub for technological and economic development.”
The East Fishkill PDC is one of 21 Mopar distribution centers in North America, serving as a critical link in Stellantis' supply chain to deliver OEM replacement and custom parts to dealerships and aftermarket clients.
