Meanwhile, the SpaceX subsidiary suspended the subscription of new Starlink internet users in Nairobi during the second quarter of 2024/25.

The company cited issues related to do with capacity, noting that it received huge subscriptions from the urban centres.

Elon Musk explained that the move was aimed at improving the satellite internet capacity in the affected dense urban areas in Africa.

The world's richest man urged subscribers to take advantage of capacity outside of the city centres, like Nairobi.
