Star Wars' Mark Hamill Hilariously Answers What Order Movies Should Be Watched In
has a hilarious response to those wondering what order they should be watching the Star Wars movies in.
Hamill is best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, as he made his feature film debut in George Lucas’ 1977 film. He has since reprised the role a number of times, though the character ultimately died in 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
During a recent appearance on The View, Hamill was asked by co-host Ana Navarro if she should watch the Star Wars movies in the order that they were released or sequentially, given that she hasn’t seen any of them.
Hamill answered, “Well, lucky for you, I don’t care. You should do what you want. But what you really should do is see The Life of Chuck.”
Earlier during the segment, Hamill was also asked if he had a response to the AI-generated image the official White House X account posted on May 4, 2025. The image shows Donald Trump holding a red lightsaber.
“First of all, I thought that, if he’s a Star Wars fan, he should know that he should be holding a green lightsaber,” Hamill said. “Not an evil, red lightsaber. My comment was, ‘Proof positive he’s full of Sith.’ You’ve got to do it with humor, I think. I don’t get angry, I don’t drop f-bombs. I know I have a lot of kids who follow me. I think to have fun with it, mock him, that’s the kryptonite to malignant narcissists.”
Hamill stars as Albie Krarntz in Mikę Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck, which is based on a Stephen King novella. The film is currently playing in select theaters but will expand nationwide on June 13, 2025, from Neon.
