Stanley Dean Sharpe
, lovingly known as “Papa Stan,” 64, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Carolinas Medical Center.
Stan was born July 10, 1960, to the late Jack L. Sharpe and Lois M. Sigmon Sharpe. He graduated from West Iredell High School, Class of 1978. He loved music and spending time playing his guitar and banjo, especially making memories with the Frank-N-Stan Band. His passion was riding his Harley Davidson for many years and watching his grandchildren play ball.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deborah; daughter, Amory Nordman (Richard); grandchildren, Camden, Ryder, Harper and Saylor Nordman; brothers, Mickey Sharpe (Peggy), Ronald Sharpe (Becky), Randy Sharpe (Margaret), and Craig Sharpe (Lynn); several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Jane; his sweet, sweet Mary Frances McNeely; brother-in-law, Allen Fox (Cindy); and his best friend, his dog, Foxy May Sharpe.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iredell County Animal Shelter, 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC 28677.
