Spring Airlines to Launch Shanghai-Hanoi Direct Flights in July

Spring Airlines, a prominent low-cost carrier, has announced the upcoming launch of a new direct flight route connecting Shanghai, China, with Hanoi, Vietnam. This new service is scheduled to commence on July 2 and will operate four times a week, significantly enhancing connectivity between the two major Asian cities. The flight, designated as 9C6967 for the outbound journey and 9C6968 for the return, will have a duration of approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes. This direct connection is poised to substantially reduce travel time compared to existing options, making travel more convenient for both leisure and business passengers.
Prospective travelers can look forward to attractive introductory fares, with one-way tickets starting from 660 yuan (approximately $91), exclusive of taxes. Bookings for these flights can be conveniently made through the official Spring Airlines mobile application and its WeChat mini program. The introduction of this route is timely, as Hanoi continues to grow in popularity as a tourist destination. The Vietnamese capital is celebrated for its unique amalgamation of French colonial architecture and rich, traditional Vietnamese culture, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
The new Shanghai-Hanoi route is anticipated to provide a considerable boost to both tourism and business travel between China and Vietnam. To complement the flight launch, Spring Tour, the travel agency arm of the airline, has proactively developed an extensive array of over 50 customized travel packages. These packages cater to various travel preferences and demographics, including six-to-seven-day tours of Hanoi and Halong Bay designed for families and senior citizens. For those seeking more immersive experiences, in-depth seven-to-eight-day trips exploring northern Vietnam are available. Additionally, flexible itineraries are offered for independent travelers, with package prices starting from 1,699 yuan per person.
Spring Tour is also focusing on promoting inbound tourism to China. Specialized packages are being created for Vietnamese visitors, highlighting Shanghai's premier cultural attractions and major sporting events. Looking ahead, Spring Airlines has indicated its intention to further expand its network across Southeast Asia, guided by prevailing market demand and travel trends. This strategic expansion underscores the airline's commitment to strengthening its presence in the region and facilitating greater international exchange.
