Basquet Girona (Liga Endesa) re-signed 30-year old Lithuanian international 208cm center Martinas Geben (college: Notre Dame, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) for the upcoming season. He is the second foreign player in the roster, as Argentinian Maximo Fjellerup signed here earlier. Geben played there last season, averaging 9.0ppg and 5.1rpg in 21 Liga Endesa games. He also played for Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (Liga Nova KBM) in the Slovenian league, as well as 13 games in the ABA League where he had 5.9ppg and 2.2rpg.
Geben has been a member of the Lithuanian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Lithuanian senior team since 2018 and previously for the University National Team in 2017.
Geben also represented Lithuania at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. Geben's team won Gold and he had 6 ppg.
He is a very experienced player. Geben has played professionally in Germany (Bamberg and Skyliners), Slovenia, and Lithuania (Zalgiris and Juventus). His team won the Slovenian Supercup in 2025.
He has received numerous awards, including being voted Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Domestic Player of the Year in 2019.
He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2018, and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
