Lucas Giovannetti

Movistar Estudiantes Madrid (Primera FEB) signed 20-year-old Argentinian-Italian international Lucas Giovannetti as a forward for the upcoming season. This marks his return to Madrid, where he previously played. Giovannetti is no stranger to the Spanish League, having most recently played for Palma Fibwi in the Spanish Segunda FEB. In 14 games last season, he averaged 9.5ppg, 2.6rpg, and 1.4apg, helping his team reach the Spanish Segunda FEB final. Prior to that, Giovannetti also played for Movistar Estudiantes Madrid.
He has been a member of the Argentinian international program for some years. Giovannetti has regularly played for the Argentinian senior team since 2023 and two years ago for the U22 National Team.
He represented Argentina at the Panamerican Games in Santiago (Chile) two years ago. Giovannetti's team won Gold and he had 15 ppg.
Giovannetti is a very experienced player, having played in Germany (NGT Munich), Italy (NGT Varese), and Lithuania (Next Generation Select Team U18 team).
Despite his young age, he had an impressive career. Giovannetti was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-FIBA U17 World Cup Honorable Mention back in 2022.
