South Africa secured a decisive innings and 236-run victory over Zimbabwe on Tuesday, as the home side collapsed after lunch on the third day of the second Test.
This commanding performance completed a 2-0 series whitewash for the world champions.
South Africa’s bowlers were instrumental in wrapping up the match, with fast bowlers Corbin Bosch (4/38) and Codi Yusuf (2/38), supported by left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy (3/77), dismissing Zimbabwe for 220 in their second innings.
The Springboks were in control from the outset, despite fielding what was effectively a second-string team. Stand-in captain Wiaan Mulder led the charge with a South African record of 367 not out, enabling his team to declare at 626 for five.
Zimbabwe showed some resistance before lunch on Tuesday, losing only two wickets after resuming on 51 for one. Contributions came from Nick Welch (55) and captain Craig Ervine (49).

However, the post-lunch session saw a dramatic collapse, with six wickets falling for just 31 runs against the pace of Yusuf and Bosch. A late 36-run partnership for the last wicket between Wellington Masakadza and Tanaka Chivanga offered brief respite.
This victory marks South Africa’s 10th successive Test win, surpassing their previous record streak between 2001 and 2003.
The world champions achieved this dominant series win despite resting most of their key players from the World Test Championship final last month.
Five debutants were introduced across the two matches, yet the Proteas still outclassed their neighbours.
Zimbabwe played without key batsmen Brian Bennett (concussion) and Ben Curran (broken hand). The two nations will meet again on Monday in Harare for the start of a T20 triangular series, which also includes New Zealand.
