On March 30, a Limuru family lost six family members and the son of their househelp in a horrific road accident along the Naivasha-Longonot Highway.

The devastating crash left a shocked community in its wake as authorities investigated the cause.

The bodies of the seven were taken to the funeral home, and that is where they were being viewed by family and friends ahead of their burial.

In the video shared by Bro Favour Mkenya MC, a woman is seen being helped down a flight of stairs at the entrance of the mortuary while wailing because of pain. Another one was seen hesitantly walking towards the entrance as she was being held.

"Painful moments at Naivasha Funeral Home body during the viewing of sic family members. God we are praying for peace," said Mkenya.

The six who will be buried today include Peter Mwangi Kirubi and his two brothers, Francis Muturi, George Ngugi Kirubi and three kids identified as Fidelis, Catherine, Vitalic.

The memorial service of the six was held on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at Kamirithu Secondary school, while the burial will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 8am at their family farm in Naivasha Eburu farm from 8 am

According to reports, seven members of the family died on that day, but one of them belonged to their househelp.

The devoted worker had shared why they agreed to bury the body of her child first. According to the devastated woman, she allowed the people to bury their child first to pave the way for the other six, which would be a costlier burial service.

Ruth Ruth:

"Woi ma! Ngapi! The pain of burying a loved one, it's uncontrollable."

In another story, it emerged that Esther Wambui, a sister of the six who died in the devastating accident, escaped death by a whisker.

According to Wambui, one of her brothers warned her against boarding the ill-fated vehicle that killed her siblings.

One of the siblings died along with his three kids, leaving their mother to deal with the pain of having one's entire family being wiped out.
