Socialite Showdown: Cubana Chiefpriest and Isaac Fayose Ignite Fiery Public Feud Over Wealth and Politics
A public feud has erupted between businessman Isaac Fayose and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, stemming from Fayose's strong condemnation of Igbo men aligning with the current government. The controversy began after Fayose released a video, posted on Tuesday, February 10, asserting that Igbo businessmen had disregarded their earlier calls for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, opting instead to pursue personal gains through alliances with the Tinubu-led administration. He explicitly stated that no other tribe betrays themselves as the Igbos do.
Cubana Chiefpriest, perceiving Fayose's video as a direct attack, swiftly responded to the allegations. In his rebuttal, he accused Fayose of being jealous of him and other Igbo businessmen. Chiefpriest argued that any influence over Nnamdi Kanu's release could only be exerted by being "inside the government" rather than from a position of opposition, dismissing Fayose as a "useless man."
The dispute escalated further when Isaac Fayose issued a counter-response. He challenged the legitimacy of Cubana Chiefpriest's wealth, suggesting it was untraceable. Fayose went on to claim that if Nigeria functioned as a "working" country, Cubana Chiefpriest would be imprisoned, drawing a stark comparison to convicted fraudster Hushpuppi. This ongoing public exchange highlights a broader sentiment of criticism directed at Cubana Chiefpriest, his former boss Obi Cubana, and other prominent Igbo figures for their perceived political alignments.
