Showdown Announced! Jake Paul & Gervonta Davis Set For Blockbuster November Boxing Match

Jake Paul is set to face Gervonta Davis in a highly anticipated exhibition bout on November 14 in Atlanta, streamed live on Netflix. The news, initially leaked accidentally by Netflix Turkey's social media account before being officially confirmed, marks a significant moment in the careers of both fighters. This 'David vs. Goliath' type matchup, taking place at the 16,000-seat State Farm Arena in Georgia, has been months in the making and comes despite a considerable weight disparity between the two.
The idea of Paul and Davis meeting in an exhibition was first floated earlier in the summer, primarily due to the vast weight difference. Paul, a 200-pound ranked cruiserweight, will face Davis, a 135-pound WBA lightweight champion, meaning a five-stone difference. Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) co-founder Nakisa Bidarian stated that the contracted weight and number of rounds are still under negotiation, but the bout is almost certainly an exhibition, not a professionally sanctioned fight that would count on their records. Exhibition rules are more flexible, allowing negotiation on aspects like round number and length, and crucially, no winner is declared, with the fight being purely for entertainment. This setup is reminiscent of Logan Paul's exhibition against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2021, though Jake is considered a more skilled boxer, and Davis is still in his prime.
