Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has formally resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The announcement was made late Monday night by the Governor's spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, who revealed that Governor Adeleke's resignation took effect on November 4th, 2025.

The resignation letter was specifically addressed to the PDP Chairman for Ward 2, Sagba Abogunde, located in the Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State. In his statement, he expressed gratitude to the PDP for the significant opportunities afforded to him, including serving as a Senator representing Osun West and subsequently as the Governor of Osun State under the party's platform.
