Shocking Revelation: Witness Accuses Blessing CEO of N69.15M Property Fraud!

Social media influencer Blessing Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO, is currently facing trial at a Lagos court on allegations of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. A key prosecution witness, Dr. Onuoha Okeigwe, testified that Blessing CEO allegedly collected N69.15 million from him for a five-year lease of a property that she did not own. This development was disclosed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a recent statement detailing the proceedings before Justice R. A. Oshodi at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja.

Dr. Okeigwe, identified as the first prosecution witness, informed the court that the substantial sum was paid for a property located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos. According to his testimony, Blessing CEO explicitly represented herself as the owner of this property during the transaction. The witness recounted a crucial incident when a man identified as Mr. Tom allegedly arrived at the property accompanied by police officers and proceeded to arrest some of the workers present.

Upon being informed of this incident, Dr. Okeigwe stated that Blessing CEO initially denied any knowledge of Mr. Tom. He further testified that he had to pay N100,000 to secure the release of his workers. Despite this escalating situation, Blessing CEO allegedly continued to maintain her claim of ownership over the property and insisted she did not know Mr. Tom. As part of the evidence presented, the witness identified WhatsApp messages where the defendant purportedly sent him photographs of the building, which she used to substantiate her claimed ownership. Furthermore, Dr. Okeigwe alleged that he incurred and paid additional charges, including agency, legal, and caution fees, directly associated with this fraudulent transaction.

A significant allegation made by Dr. Okeigwe is that Blessing CEO not only collected money from him but also from another individual for the very same property. Blessing CEO was formally arraigned by the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 on June 9, 2026, facing a two-count charge. The first count specifically alleges that on or about March 21, 2025, she induced Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited to pay the N69,150,000 by falsely representing that the Lekki property belonged to her and had been leased to the company for a five-year period. This alleged offence falls under the purview of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act. Blessing Nkiruka has pleaded not guilty to both charges. Justice Oshodi has adjourned the case until October 26 for the continuation of the trial.
