Shocking Grocery Haul: Mum's 'Diabetes-Inducing' Shopping Stuns Viewers!

A North Carolina mother-of-three, known on TikTok as @boymomx3_b, has ignited a fierce debate online after sharing a video of her massive grocery haul, which included a staggering 32 frozen pizzas and over a dozen blocks of cheese. The 37-year-old, who works full-time, explained that the substantial amount of food was intended to feed her three boys and her parents, who have recently moved in with her.
The extensive shopping trip, which spanned four different stores, showcased a pantry and fridge overflowing with a variety of items. Beyond the 32 frozen pizzas, the haul featured 14 blocks of various cheeses, nine large bottles of sugary fizzy drinks, five big bags of frozen fries, two large jars of mayonnaise, and numerous sugary snacks such as mini brownies, a huge pack of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, Oatmeal Cream Pies, cereal bars, and several packs of Oreos. In stark contrast to the processed and sugary items, the fresh produce section included only two cucumbers, a head of lettuce, grapes, some bananas, and a huge watermelon. The mother proudly stated, "We took all they had," referring to clearing the frozen pizza aisle.
At the end of the now-viral video, which has garnered over 5 million views, the mum revealed the grand total of her bill: $476.68 (£352.33). She commented on the high cost of groceries, noting it was "A little bit less than last time but the crazy thing is that we left a lot of the stuff off the list this time because we didn't run out."
However, instead of sympathy for the high grocery prices, viewers were "gobsmacked" by another aspect: the perceived lack of nutritional value in the family's diet. The video quickly sparked a backlash, with thousands of TikTokers slamming the mother for what many described as a "diabetes-inducing" diet. Comments poured in, with one user stating, "NINEEEE bottles of soda THIRTY TWOO pizzas and like two cucumbers is wild." Another wrote, "Diabetes is around the corner." Critics also pointed out the disproportionate amount of processed food compared to fresh produce, with one user noting, "You bought more bottles of dr pepper than you did vegetables."
In response to the barrage of criticism, the mother offered a concise and unapologetic message to her detractors: "Don’t watch then."
