Algeria’s head coach, Farid Benstiti, has opened up on his relationship with Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala.
Benstiti said he worked with the Super Falcons forward during their time together in China.
He also described Nigeria’s Super Falcons as the best in Africa and top 10 in the world.
He spoke as his team prepare for the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, Group B matches.
“Nigeria are the benchmark,” Benstiti told CAF Online.
“I had the pleasure of working with Asisat Oshoala in China. She’s a friend now.
“Nigerians aren’t just Africa’s best. They are among the top 10 in the world.”
The 2025 WAFCON will commence in July and Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia and Botswana are in Group B.
