Shakira's Grand Finale: Pop Icon Unveils Dates for Record-Breaking Tour Closer!

Global superstar Shakira is poised to bring her historic world tour to a spectacular conclusion this fall with an exclusive three-night residency in Madrid, Spain. The Spanish artist will host these monumental events at a specially constructed, temporary venue dubbed the “Shakira Stadium.” This unique 4.2-acre (185,000-square-meter) space is designed to offer an unparalleled immersive experience, integrating elements of cinema, gastronomy, literature, and curated exhibitions by Shakira herself, all united under the captivating title “Es Latina.”
The highly anticipated residency is scheduled to take place from September 25-27 at the Iberdrola Music space, located in Madrid’s Villaverde district, south of the city. Live Nation officially announced these plans on Friday, March 20. The concept of this temporary, immersive venue aligns with recent innovative formats seen in Europe, such as Adele’s 2024 residency in Munich, which enable greater control over the audience experience and facilitate large-scale production capabilities.
This exciting announcement comes shortly after Shakira initially shared her intentions to conclude her acclaimed Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in Spain with a bespoke production. “I’m going to go all out because Live Nation is preparing a stadium for these concerts. It will be called Estadio Shakira,” the artist revealed in a preview of an interview with RTVE’s show Al Cielo Con Ella, published on Sunday, March 15. She further expressed her vision, stating, “It’s going to be something out of this world, a production that I don’t think has been seen before in Spain.” The news also follows her recent prestigious nomination to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which commenced on February 11, 2025, and continues throughout the current year, has already achieved remarkable milestones. It set a Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour of all time by a Hispanic artist, accumulating an astonishing $421.6 million in gross revenue and selling 3.3 million tickets across 86 shows, as reported by Billboard Boxscore figures.
The tour’s immense momentum was recently showcased in Mexico City, where Shakira shattered attendance records at the GNP Seguros Stadium. She delivered 13 sold-out dates, surpassing 800,000 tickets sold, before culminating her Latin American leg with a historic free concert at the iconic Zócalo square, attracting an audience of 400,000 people on March 1.
Tickets for the Madrid residency will become available for purchase on March 27. Prior to her arrival in Spain for the grand finale, Shakira is set to perform on May 2 at another of the world’s most iconic and massive venues: the legendary Brazilian beach of Copacabana. Organizers anticipate an audience of at least one million people for this event, echoing the monumental crowds drawn by Madonna in 2024 and Lady Gaga in 2025.
