Severe weather across the state affects power restoration, OG&E reports

OKLAHOMA — Severe weather caused power outages and damage across Oklahoma from Thursday into Saturday morning.
OG&E provided a storm damage update as of 9:30 a.m. today, June 7.
According to OG&E, the areas hit the hardest overnight were Alva, Enid, and Poteau.
The damage in these areas includes downed power lines, broken power poles, and damage to crossarms and other equipment attached to poles.
56 percent of OG&E customers experiencing outages have had their service restored. Approximately 8,100 customers remain without service.
As severe weather continues this week throughout the state, OG&E provided information for storm and outage preparation.
