Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, scored a staggering 37 goals in 41 appearances and is reportedly being considered by Liverpool as a possible replacement for Darwin Núñez, should the Uruguayan complete a move to Napoli.
Though no formal offer has been made, Diouf believes Osimhen would thrive alongside Mohamed Salah.
“,” Diouf told AfricaFoot.
“
“I’m convinced it could work, that these two players (Osimhen and Salah) could complement each other. I’d like to see this duo come together.”
Salah ended last season as the Premier League’s top scorer, playing a pivotal role in Liverpool’s title win. Osimhen, meanwhile, was top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig and remains one of Europe’s most in-demand forwards.
“Diouf added.
Liverpool have already spent over £200m this summer on Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and Giorgi Mamardashvili, but sources suggest the club could yet move for another striker.
Osimhen came close to joining Chelsea last summer and is believed to be open to a Premier League move, regardless of the club.
