Senator Warns: Insecurity Crisis Threatens Ruling Party's Reign!

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s failure to effectively tackle the nation's severe security crisis and persistent economic hardship has created a significant vulnerability, potentially leading to the ruling party's defeat in the 2027 presidential election. This declaration was made by Senator Suleiman Nazeef Gamawa, the deputy national chairman of the ADC, who emphasized the party's intention to assemble a highly competent presidential candidate capable of easily challenging and defeating President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming national polls.

During an interview with journalists in Bauchi, Gamawa elaborated on the ADC's strategic approach. He stressed that the current APC-led federal government's inability to alleviate the widespread economic difficulties, pervasive insecurity, and numerous other social problems afflicting Nigerians presents a crucial opportunity for the ADC. The party plans to capitalize on these critical shortcomings, using them as central campaign points against the APC and President Tinubu.

Senator Gamawa, who previously represented Bauchi North in the Senate and also served as a PDP deputy national chairman, further articulated the foundational vision and operational ethos of the ADC. He stated that the ADC's overarching goal is to foster a nation where every Nigerian can experience a profound sense of pride. He characterized the ADC as a party driven by purpose and steadfast determination, consciously avoiding impulsive actions. The party adheres to a strict and uncompromising benchmark for leadership, built upon four essential pillars: unwavering character, proven competence, profound courage, and rigorous discipline. These principles, Gamawa affirmed, will meticulously guide the party's decisions, shape its organizational culture, and consistently underpin its performance and endeavors.

The ADC operates on the firm conviction that Nigeria possesses the inherent capacity to thrive and that this prosperity can and will be achieved for all its citizens. This belief is underpinned by a resolute commitment to establish a political party that prioritizes collective interests above individual aspirations, that endures far beyond transient political moments, and that distinctly differentiates itself from any other political entity in the nation's history. Gamawa reiterated that the ADC leadership is strategically positioning the party for a decisive victory in the next general elections. He also issued a strong appeal to all eligible voters, urging them to obtain their Permanent Voter's Cards (PVCs) to ensure their participation in the electoral process, underscoring that voting at this critical juncture is not merely a right but a fundamental obligation.
