SDP Members Celebrate Gabam's Political Departure

The recent departure of Shehu Gabam as the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has been hailed as a significant victory for its members, according to Hon Femi Olaniyi, Chairman of the Forum of SDP State Chairmen. In a press statement, Olaniyi emphasized that Gabam’s exit followed a period characterized by a tumultuous tenure, during which he was widely regarded as a detrimental influence on the party’s overall political development.
The Forum of State Chairmen expressed strong approval of Gabam’s removal, viewing it as a pivotal moment for the future trajectory of the party. Olaniyi conveyed profound gratitude to the National Working Committee for its decisive actions in facilitating the removal of Gabam and other figures perceived as divisive. This strategic move is interpreted as a bold and necessary step to safeguard the party from further internal strife and to steer it towards a more constructive and unified path.
Across the nation, SDP members are now anticipating a new chapter marked by enhanced unity and sustained progress. The removal of individuals identified as sources of division and mischief is expected to pave the way for a more cohesive and productive environment within the party. With Gabam’s departure, there is a collective hope that the SDP can effectively transition towards a more positive and forward-looking direction, fostering greater internal harmony and political efficacy.
