On February 3, issued a warning to fans about social media scammers pretending to be her.
“My family’s safety, as well as the innocent people being taken advantage of, is my deep concern, and there will be a time when I will comment more, but for now our focus is helping law enforcement handle this matter,” The Blind Side actress, 60, said in a statement. “Please be aware that I do not participate in any form of social media. Any accounts pretending to be me or anyone associated with me are fake accounts and have been created for financial gain or to exploit people around me.”
A source exclusively tells In Touch the ordeal has “really shaken” Sandra. “It’s a nightmare. But she can be ferocious when it comes to protecting her family and fans, so the scammers best not mess with her.” Sandra’s warning comes just weeks after , 61, issued a similar warning to his fans that cybercriminals had used his likeness in a social media scam. A French woman reportedly lost $850,000 and even divorced her husband, believing she was sending the actor money for kidney treatment.
