Sandia Peak Ski Area reopens due to snowfall

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Sandia Peak Ski Area says they got so much snow over the last 24 hours that skiers will have an extra day to hit the slopes. According to the ski area, 11 inches of snow fell in the last 24 hours, allowing them to reopen for one more day.

Sandia Peak Tram shuts down for annual maintenance

The area previously went on a temporary closure back in February after warm temperatures left little snow. They say Chair 4 will be spinning from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, with only skiing and restroom facilities available.

They also say payemtns will be by card only.
