Royal Shockwave: Meghan Markle's Troubling Publicist Turnover Hits Double Digits!

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is experiencing yet another significant change within her communications team, as Emily Robinson, her latest director of communications, has departed after only a few months. This marks the tenth publicist for Meghan in recent years, highlighting a pattern of turnover within her public relations operations.
A spokesperson for Meghan, 44, confirmed Robinson's departure to Us Weekly on October 24, stating, "Ms. Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan and additional support for the production company. She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success." Robinson, who joined Meghan and Prince Harry’s team in June following a tenure in publicity at Netflix, reportedly left voluntarily, according to reports from The Times of London and People.
This recent exit continues a history of staffing changes, with Meghan having previously employed nine other communications professionals. Of these, two have since transitioned into non-publicity roles within the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s broader operations.
Since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020, Meghan and Harry, 41, relocated from England to California. There, they secured a substantial deal with Netflix through their production company, Archewell Productions. Meghan expressed pride in their extended partnership with Netflix in August, stating, "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision." This collaboration has yielded various projects, including the "With Love, Meghan" docuseries.
The "With Love, Meghan" docuseries has successfully aired two seasons, showcasing the Duchess's personal interests such as cooking, gardening, and various DIY crafts, often featuring celebrity friends. Speaking at a Forbes panel earlier in the month, Meghan hinted at the possibility of a third season. She reflected on the effort involved in producing eight episodes across two seasons, drawing on her experience from "Suits." Meghan also emphasized the audience's desire for content in diverse formats and lengths, noting, "It’s amazing to be able to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes, but how can I give you a recipe in two minutes and where can I share that with you and how that continues to grow As Ever? So, [we’re] exploring all the options of what it could look like."
While remaining discreet about a confirmed third season, Meghan did confirm an upcoming "really good" holiday special. She playfully revealed plans to share gift wrapping techniques, reminiscing about her past experience teaching advanced gift wrapping classes at Paper Source. This detail, she noted, was an unexpected "full circle" moment from her days as an auditioning actor.
