Rod Stewart's Candid Confession: Penny Lancaster Shares His Top Appearance Gripe

Penny Lancaster, the former model and wife of legendary singer Sir Rod Stewart, recently shared intimate details about their enduring relationship, including a specific complaint her husband has about her appearance. The couple first met in 1999 when Penny photographed Rod on tour, leading to a blossoming romance and their eventual marriage in 2007. They share two teenage sons, Alastair, 19, and Aiden, 14, and Penny, 54, describes their partnership as a “great team,” always “there for each other.”
During an appearance on the Second Act podcast with Ateh Jewel, Penny disclosed one particular fashion preference of Rod’s. She explained that Rod, 80, appreciates her efforts to “dress the part” and that he isn't particularly fond of her wearing jeans. Penny, however, embraces her physical attributes, stating, “I mean I do have good legs. I can say that, I'm not ashamed to be able to compliment myself because I've got so many other areas of me that I don't like. And he loves my legs. So I do appreciate that. And so I will wear a short skirt.” She humorously recalled being teased in school about her skirts not being short enough, clarifying, “I'm like, no, actually, it's my legs. They're too long.”
Their bond spans more than two decades, a journey Penny detailed in her book, 'Someone Like Me'. In it, she recounts significant milestones such as Rod quitting drugs, his change of heart regarding having children, and his memorable proposal in 2005, delivered on his “dodgy” knee. The couple exchanged vows two years later in the picturesque Portofino, Italy.
Earlier this year, Penny and Rod returned to the scenic European nation to commemorate their 18th wedding anniversary. Their celebration involved a nostalgic trip from Paris to Portofino aboard the luxurious Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Penny shared moments from their journey on social media, captioning a post, “Entering a bygone era @vsoetrain from Paris where we got engaged to Portofino where we got married 18 years ago, it’s totally magical @sirrodstewart xxxx.”
Last year, Sir Rod took proactive steps to quash rumors of a “rift” between him and Penny. He emphatically denied claims of arguments over their residency, specifically whether they should settle in the UK or USA, stating he wanted to “set the record straight.” Rod clarified,
